TXSNOW Instructor Application Guidelines

The basic requirements for becoming a TXSNOW ski instructor include but are not limited to the following seven items. Please confirm and agree to these before applying:

  1. Possess CASI/CSIA Certification: Instructors are required to hold the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) or the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) certification, which demonstrates that they have undergone professional skiing instruction training and have successfully passed the relevant examinations.
  2. Membership status as (Active): Instructors are required to maintain an active membership status with the instructor association and regularly participate in relevant training and examinations to ensure their professional skills and knowledge are up to date.
  3. Eligible to work legally in Canada (valid SIN): Instructors need to have legal eligibility to work in Canada, including holding a valid work visa, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship.
  4. Possess strong communication and teaching skills, capable of effectively conveying skiing techniques and knowledge while providing high-quality ski instruction services to students. In addition, instructors must adhere to TXSNOW's relevant regulations and teaching procedures to ensure both the learning effectiveness and safety of students.
  5. All paychecks are issued via direct deposit. For annual earnings exceeding $500, our accounting team will issue a T4A form to the instructor. Instructors are classified as independent contractors and are responsible for filing their own taxes using the T4A.
  6. Joining TXSNOW requires the purchase of an instructor uniform as a mandatory signing condition (instructors with existing uniforms are not required to purchase a new one). Please click this link to purchase the instructor uniform.
  7. The use of any other people's ( other than yourself ) resort passes for TXSNOW's instructional activities is strictly prohibited. Any consequences and liabilities arising from such actions will be solely the responsibility of the instructor. TXSNOW contracted instructors who post or share on any social media platform, engaging in activities such as buying, selling, or renting non-transferable passes, will be considered an immediate termination of the contractual relationship.
