What should I do if I want someone else to finish my lesson due to fatigue, or if I want to end the lesson early?
- If students want to finish classes early because of their problems, we will not make up for the refund.
- Instructors can utilize other methods to complete the lesson, such as watching teaching videos with the student, answering their questions, or providing knowledge about skiing equipment and techniques.
- Instructors are encouraged to constantly update their knowledge so that, even off the snow, students can still learn valuable information.
- If students want to change to another student, with the consent of the instructor, please make sure that the new student clicks on our course registration link and completes our Waiver before continuing the class.

Can students fill in any name (nickname or abbreviation) when completing the waiver?
-No.
Waivers must be completed with full, legal names (no nicknames or short forms). -
If I register for a few friends/family members, can I sign just one waiver for all of them?
- No.
- If you are registering for several friends or family members, each participant must individually fill out their own waiver before registration and payment can be completed.

Can I sign just one waiver for both my child and myself if we are taking the lesson together?

After filling it out, we will contact you and help you pull a WeChat group with the instructor to help communicate the details of the course, or contact you by email/phone to communicate the details of your class time.

What if I’m late by accident? What if the instructor is accidentally late?
Specific regulations on students being late:
- Please be on time and arrive at the designated place 10-15 minutes in advance. The class time is subject to the appointment time. If we are late, we will not be able to postpone/make up the time;
- If you need to buy snow tickets and equipment, please complete it before class time. Please arrive at the snow field at least 1-1.5 hours in advance to ensure smooth equipment rental. The ski resort will be busier on weekends and holidays.
Specific regulations on instructor tardiness:
Arrive late
- If you are late for more than 15 minutes and do not notify the person in charge and the students, you will be treated as absenteeism.
- Communicate and get students’ understanding to deal with late arrivals, and double compensate the time or the corresponding class fee.

- If the instructor unilaterally cancels the course between 48hr-24hr, the instructor shall compensate half the course fee.
- Full compensation within 24 hours.
- Force majeure factors are considered as appropriate.

Can cash payments be tax-free? Are there discounts? What payment methods are available?
– TXSNOW strictly complies with Canadian law, ensuring that all payments are properly taxed. Cash payments cannot be tax-free, and basic courses are not discounted.

Does TXSNOW provide professional insurance that meets ski resort requirements?
TXSNOW carries a CAD $10 million commercial liability insurance policy, compliant with the regulations and requirements of insurance companies and ski resorts, ensuring the safety of both instructors and students.

What are the ski resorts TXSNOW cooperates with?
Officially signed partnerships include:

• Horseshoe Valley Resort
• DAGMARBlue Mountain is TX’s year-round strategic partner. Its beginner learning area can only be used by Blue Mountain’s snow school and TXSNOW instructors.
For ski resorts where we do not have formal partnerships, we will not operate. -
Are your instructors qualified and professional?
All our partner instructors hold professional certifications such as CASI, CSIA, or PSIA.
At the beginning of each snow season, we individually verify each instructor’s registration status with CASI, CSIA, or PSIA to ensure they are active members of their respective associations, guaranteeing compliance and professionalism. -
What should I do if I need to cancel my course or change the time?
Change the appointment:
- To reschedule your lesson, please contact customer service at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled lesson.
Changes made 48-24 hours before the lesson will incur a 50% lesson fee deduction.
Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours are non-refundable.
Refund regulations:
- Refunds cannot be processed back to the original payment method. Refunds will be issued via EMT, with a fee of CAD $20 + 5% of the payment amount per transaction.
- Refunds are only available within 24 hours of payment, provided the lesson is more than 72 hours away.
- No refunds will be issued beyond 24 hours of payment. Lessons purchased for the current snow season can be used in the next snow season.
- No refunds or rescheduling will be allowed for same-day cancellations or changes.
- In cases of extreme weather causing ski resort closures, rescheduling will be permitted.
- Instructor Cancellations:
If the instructor needs to cancel or reschedule your lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, TXSNOW will contact you at least 48 hours in advance to discuss the next steps.

What are the rules and regulations of TXSNOW?
Instructor Requirements
Thorough Understanding of Teaching Content:
o As the primary source of information for students learning to ski, instructors must demonstrate consistency in words and actions. They should have a complete and clear understanding of the teaching content, as well as the ability to explain and demonstrate effectively on the slopes. This includes knowledge of skiing techniques and the equipment being used.Positive Teaching Attitude:
- o Instructors should foster a positive and encouraging teaching environment with excellent service attitudes. When students display anxiety or frustration during the learning process, instructors must be patient and guide them progressively, using supportive methods to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Effective Communication:
- o To minimize misunderstandings, instructors should communicate with students in a concise and straightforward manner.
- Observation and Analytical Skills:
o Instructors must have strong observational and analytical abilities to effectively identify and address students’ issues. They should provide achievable teaching goals and solutions based on their observations. - Leadership in Training and Guidance:
o A solid understanding of skiing theory and fundamental knowledge is essential for any instructor. A great instructor should also demonstrate leadership skills by applying their expertise to deliver targeted guidance and tailor learning plans for individual students. - Enjoyable Teaching:
o Create a relaxed teaching environment and avoid putting excessive pressure on students. Focus on fostering an enjoyable learning process and a pleasant atmosphere.
Safe Teaching Practices- Helmets:
o To minimize the risk of injury, all instructors and students must wear appropriate ski helmets during lessons. If a helmet is forgotten or unavailable, it can be rented from the ski resort’s equipment rental department. If a student refuses to wear a helmet, the instructor must decline to teach and promptly notify management. - Equipment Check:
o Instructors must inspect students’ equipment before lessons to ensure it is safe and hazard-free. - Prioritizing Safety:
o Instructors must prioritize safety during lessons. This includes understanding students’ abilities and selecting teaching environments that match their skill levels (beginner areas, green runs, blue runs, or black runs). Instructors should clearly explain potential hazards and corresponding countermeasures to students. - Maintaining Visibility and Control:
o During lessons, instructors should always position themselves where they can see the students and maintain control over their speed. When leading students, instructors must check every 3-5 turns to ensure students are following safely. In case of incidents, instructors should be prepared to remove skis and return uphill if necessary. - Avoiding Loss of Students:
o Reasonable measures should be taken to avoid losing students during lessons. Predetermined meeting points should be communicated and agreed upon in advance. - Adjusting Lesson Content:
o Instructors should customize lesson content based on actual conditions, including students’ abilities, daily weather, slope steepness, snow conditions, and crowd levels. - Chairlift Safety and Etiquette:
o Provide clear instructions on how to safely board and exit chairlifts, proper etiquette, and handling unexpected situations. - Following Ski Resort Safety Policies:
o Instructors must adhere to and convey ski resort safety and responsibility codes to students. - KM (Kids Master) Specific Guidelines:
o For young children new to skiing, the primary focus should be on fostering their interest to lay a foundation for future passion and skill development. Teaching content should be dynamically adjusted based on the child’s condition. If a child feels unwell, overly tired, or encounters unforeseen issues during the lesson, the instructor must promptly contact the parents to determine whether to end the session.

How long is each class?
The shortest course is two hours, but we can customize it according to the needs of students.
If you need a longer course, we can communicate.
If you can’t finish the two hours in a row, you can communicate with the instructor with us for one hour, and rest for another hour.

What equipment should I prepare as a beginner skier?
Ski jacket and pants;
Ski gloves;
Ski goggles;
Face mask or balaclava;
Snow socks;
Wrist guards;
Helmet ;
Other protective gear (knee pads, hip pads, etc.) as needed based on personal preferences.

Is there an age limit for skiing or snowboarding?
There is no age limit for skiing or snowboarding.
However, based on safety factors, it is recommended that children be over three years old.
For older people, because skiing or snowboarding is accompanied by a considerable risk of falls and injuries, it is recommended to evaluate the physical and physical condition before deciding.

What type of skiing should I try for my first time?
Both snowboarding and skiing are great fun, each with its own unique appeal. You can choose based on your personal preference. If you’re having trouble deciding, you can start with one of them first. Once you’ve developed a good sense of snow, learning the other will become much easier and more intuitive.

Can I go skiing or Snowboarding? Are there any necessary conditions for that?
As long as you want to ski or snowboard, you can do it.

Do we offer discounts?
Our basic courses are not discounted.
All courses can enjoy great customer discounts:
10% off for a one-time purchase of 5 lessons.
A one-time purchase of 10 lessons is 88% off (Demon goggles as a gift).
A one-time purchase of 20 lessons is 15% off (Demon’s hip protection as a gift).
There are many student benefits or gifts that are more delicious than discounts for all courses.
Student benefits include Burton 25% OFF at the end of October and February, and 60% off for Demon United students throughout the year.
Through the CRM system in the package, various benefits for students, and a series of high-quality services, we bring quality ski class products to guests who pay attention to quality.

Wil I be required to sign a waiver?
Yes.
According to the latest 2024 regulations across Canada by the insurance company, all lessons must have a signed TXSNOW waiver before purchase can be completed.
Without signing the waiver, payment and lesson participation will not be possible.

What are the certification requirements for KM instructors? (Multiple choices allowed)
- – Toddler (1-4 years old): Minimum 50 hours of on-snow teaching experience; or at least 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience + 40 hours of teaching experience in other sports; or being a parent + minimum 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience.
- – little Hero (5-7 years old): Minimum 50 hours of on-snow teaching experience; or at least 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience + 40 hours of teaching experience in other sports; or being a parent + minimum 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience.
- – Big Brave (8-11 years old): Minimum 30 hours of on-snow teaching experience; or at least 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience + 20 hours of teaching experience in other sports; or being a parent + minimum 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience.

What are the options available for the 1-11 years old Kids Master Program?
Toddler (1-4 years old):
- 45-minute KM lessons

My child is 4 years old this year, with very well-developed motor skills and great stamina. Can they move up to the little Hero (5-7 years old) class?”
Yes, they can! If parents are confident that their child’s stamina, energy, and attention span can last for 90 minutes, they are welcome to move up to the little Hero (5-7 years old) class!

What is the Freestyle Guiding Service for 12+ and adults?
- – The student is a teenager aged 12-18, and parents are still uneasy about letting them ski alone, so they prefer having an instructor accompany them.
- – The student is a “watcher” type who doesn’t need formal lessons but wants an instructor to guide them while ensuring their techniques are practiced correctly.
- – Most of my friends are skiers, and I’m a snowboarder, so we can’t ski together. I’d like to find a skilled instructor or partner to accompany me on the slopes.
- – I have high standards for skiing and enjoy skiing with skilled partners. Whenever I go out, I want a Level 2/3/4 instructor to ski with me.
- – I usually don’t have anyone to take photos or videos of me. I’d like to hire an instructor to accompany me and capture my cool skiing moments.

Can children aged 1-11 join group lessons at TXSNOW?
A:No. Due to the crowded ski resorts and higher risks, all TXSNOW products for children aged 1-11 are 1V1 to ensure the instructor’s full attention and care are focused on the child at all times. This minimizes accident risks and prioritizes safety above all.

What is the KM Worry-Free Childcare Service?
- – Children need time to practice after their lessons, but when skiing alone, they may gradually forget the techniques they’ve learned. Practicing with an instructor can significantly help maintain the learning results.
- – Many children are “watchers.” Even without formal lessons, they can learn a lot by following the instructor and skiing in a low-pressure, enjoyable environment.
- – For parents who don’t ski and are uneasy about their child skiing alone, this service ensures someone is there to take care of the child, giving parents a chance to relax.
- – For parents who ski but need to constantly supervise their child, this service allows them to enjoy their own solo skiing time and focus on improving their skills.
- – Parents who usually don’t have the time or opportunity to take photos or videos of their child can use this service to have the instructor capture beautiful skiing moments.
- – Once the child is familiar with the instructor, the instructor can accompany the child for the entire day, including skiing, eating, restroom breaks, and chatting, freeing up the parents entirely.

What do your instructor uniforms look like?

I don’t like wearing a helmet. Can I take lessons without one?
No.
All students must wear helmets during lessons. If a student refuses to wear a helmet, the instructor has the right to refuse the lesson. No refunds will be provided for the session.
